Ari Lasso

Ari Lasso is a Madiun-born pop rock singer best known as the lead vocalist of Dewa 19 from 1991 to 1999, one of Indonesia's defining rock acts of the 1990s. Following his departure from the group, he launched a solo career in 2001 under Musica Studios, carrying forward the melodic rock sensibility and vocal power that had marked his years with Dewa 19 during the post-Reformasi era when Indonesian alternative rock reached mainstream prominence. His solo work maintains the ballad-driven, arena-ready style that made him a household name. Lasso has occasionally rejoined Dewa 19 for reunion tours, though the band has since operated without a fixed lead vocalist.
