Diskoria

Diskoria is a Jakarta-based electronic composer duo formed in 2014, consisting of Merdi Simanjuntak and Fadli Aat. They are widely recognized as pioneers in reviving local disco music within modern Indonesia, blending retro aesthetics with contemporary production techniques. Emerging during the post-2010s Indonesian electronic wave, Diskoria helped redirect attention to the country's 1970s-80s funk and disco heritage, which had largely faded from mainstream consciousness. Operating independently, the duo has cultivated a distinctive sonic identity—groovy, nostalgic, yet accessible to new generations of listeners.
