Mocca

Mocca is an indie pop band from Bandung, formed in 2002. Comprised of Arina Ephipania (vocals), Riko Prayitno (guitar), Achmad Pratama (bass), and Indra Massad (drums), the group is recognized for their light, melodic approach blending swing, bossa nova, and pop with English-language lyrics. Their debut album My Diary (2002), released on FFWD Records, became a touchstone of the post-Reformasi Bandung indie wave, a period when independent music flourished outside Jakarta's commercial mainstream. Tracks like "Secret Admirer" and "I Remember" exemplify their lo-fi, intimate aesthetic. Over two decades, Mocca has maintained a consistent sonic identity, becoming one of Indonesia's enduring indie pop acts and influencing subsequent generations of bedroom pop and jazz-inflected indie musicians across the archipelago.
