Seringai is a Jakarta-based heavy metal band formed in 2002 by vocalist Arian13, guitarist Ricky Siahaan, bassist Sammy Bramantyo, and drummer Edy Khemod. Emerging during the early-2000s resurgence of Indonesian metal following the country's democratic transition, Seringai became a key act in redefining the local heavy music landscape. Over their career, they have released four albums — one mini-album and three studio LPs — establishing a reputation for visceral intensity and a distinct vocal approach. The band represents a bridge between Indonesia's pioneering 1990s metal generation and the more diverse, internationally engaged scene of the 2010s, maintaining relevance through consistent output and a refusal to dilute their sound for mainstream consumption.
