Kelompok Penerbang Roket is a Jakarta-based stoner rock trio formed in 2011, comprising John Paul Patton, Rey Marshall, and I Gusti Vikranta. The band's name references "Mencarter Roket" by Indonesian duo Duo Kribo, positioning them within a continuum of Indonesian rock history rather than importing the genre wholesale. Their sound draws heavily on 1970s psychedelic and heavy rock—Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, and Pink Floyd—filtered through the dense, groove-oriented lens of stoner rock.
